The Rise of Zino Komm

Zino Komm held a guitar for the first time at 14, since then has never put it down. Today he stands as a prominent figure in his field - Acoustic guitarist, music composer with song writing expertise. 2007 bought Zino his outstanding year, taking home two 1st place awards for 'Outstanding Russian Musician' from the Prominent International Festival in Barcelona and another award: 'Best Russian Musical Composer in Australia' held in Sydney. At that stage, his passion as an acoustic guitarist and composer was in the front row with jazz, Soul and Blues genus.

Zino resides in Melbourne, Australia since 1989 after moving up from St. Petersburg. Adjusting his passion for snow and ski to sun and sea. His lyrical writing along side acoustic guitar playing began as a hobby since age 14 years, backed up by continuous interest and practice. In 1995 he wrote and performed on stage for a leading musical comedy festival 'KVN' collaborating with other lyricist's. Performing interstate throughout Sydney and Melbourne. After 4 years he began to write his music solo, evolving in 2002 with his Debut album 'Melbourne', with live performances' throughout Melbourne and Sydney, captivating the audience with every set.

Zino dedicated most his time in the studio working vigorously on new tunes and lyrics, re-creating and exceeding all expectations and that he did! Releasing his second album, 'Airport' in 2004. Zino's live tour for 'Airport' enclosed: Melbourne 2004, Sydney 2004, Melbourne 2005 and Sydney 2005 in February and November. His live tours exceeded enthusiast growth and tickets sold out within a week. In 2007, he produced a third album 'Breath of Fresh Air' this production definitely became his best work to date. The release featured Zino to cover a larger following from the public and international media. His live performances covered two concerts in Sydney, both performances' in Sydney sold out, with three concerts in Melbourne. Zino believes…"a live performance; captivates a musician as much as the audience". (Zino, 2007)

Zino took part in live radio interviews on SBS Radio. His live performances ran on SBS TV channel 31 continuous replays of previous interstate performances. At Zino's last concert, he was approached about traveling to Barcelona for the International Festival to represent Australia. That he did, taking home first place. Upon return from Spain, it was not long until he was traveling to New Zealand to cover three live concerts.

A compilation titled...'From Australia with Love' was written and composed by Zino Komm for the International Festival, performing along side some of the most talented Russian solo performers throughout the world. "My inspiration for writing and composing evolved on a deeper level after my studio album 'Breath of Fresh Air', it had the touch I was waiting for". (Zino Komm SBS Live Radio, 2007) Now Coupled as a Duo: Zino Komm & Caroline Agostini are set on a road of soul, jazz infused beats.
